Field Notes

Description:

Smaller beetle with black elytrae, protonum red with two back marks, red body. Legs with red femora and black tibiae. Back antennae. A species of Soldier Beetle.

Habitat:

Woodlands near a fresh water river. Connetquot State Park, New York
