Description:

My son found these teeth while doing trash pickup at a local prairie. Would love help in identifying them!

Looks like relatively large bunodont molars. The dentine is showing, but it does not appear form ridges as in selenadonts. That could be from the angle and lighting of the photo. The roots are exposed, but from these pictures that does not lead me anywhere. If the black part, the dentine, in in the center of the tooth then they are likely from a pig. If the dentine forms ridges, parallel with the enamel, then it is more likely to be a selenadont such as a deer or cow. Have fun looking up these teeth types and try to identify them with your son.
