I think this may be regarded as a weed, but I would still like to know what it is as I've seen a lot of butterflies on these.

Parece Emilia sonchifolia
Can't see the the plant very well so it may be some other kind of thistle or wild lettuce, but I believe it is Tasselflower (a.k.a Cupid's Shavingbrush). See here and see if you agree. http://uswildflowers.com/detail.php?SName=Emilia%20fosbergii
I've seen a lot of these in Hawaii and I also believe they are regarded as weeds. I've no idea what it is, so I'm intrigued to see what someone comes up with.
