Field Notes

Description:

A tiny yellow adult psyllid. It has green eyes like the previous spotting (female of same species?) and found on the adjacent leaf. This insect has a red strucure on its abdomen together with fibrous material which needs an explanation.

Notes:

Each of the previous groups of plant lice/lerps were located today on one single tree, in low numbers. The tree also contained many gall forming psyllids (Schedotrioza sp.) like these http://www.projectnoah.org/spottings/14416037
