Polyphemus Moth

Perhaps you can take some time to read our FAQs http://www.projectnoah.org/faq so that you will understand how we operate the site. If you were trying to change the name, you can do it by going into "Edit this spotting" which appears above your name to the top right of your picture. The correct scientific name is in 2 parts, Genus + species, so should be "Antheraea polyphemus", the Common name would be Giant Silk Moth. When these first emerge they will sit and dry their wings before flying.
