Description:
This tree was dripping with long yellow inflorescences of yellow flowers and long hard seed pods.
Habitat:
Along the road in the Isthmus of Tehuantepec, Oaxaca, Mexico.
Notes:
This tree is native to Egypt, the Mideast and warm areas of Asia from South Pakistan, India, Myanmar and Sri Lanka. It is the National Tree of Thailand.
Almost all parts of the tree are used for traditional medicines. It is a popular ornamental in many parts of the world.
