Description:

A perennial evergreen shrub growing to roughly 2 ft. tall it is grown as an ornamental plant for its beautiful stalks of blueish or purple flowers.

Habitat:

A wide spread plant grown the world over for use as a spice.

Notes:

It has been used since ancient times as it allegedly has a plethora of medicinal uses, and while its still used in many medicines and remedies today, it's most common use is as a cooking spice.
