Description:

The spittle of the Spittle Bug has several jobs. The first job is for protection as the bug hides in the spittle. The second job of the spittle is that the bubbles insulate the bug from heat and cold. The last job is that the spittle keeps the Spittle Bug from drying out and dying.

Habitat:

Meadow near Lake Lewisville.
