Description:

Salvia viridis (syn. Salvia horminum) spotted bloomed in the wild, at the ancient Agora plateau, Goritsa hill, Volos Greece. The species was known as Salvia horminum (horminum=salvia, in Greek), and if the ancient city on top of Goritsa hill, was called Horminio too, that was probably because the hill was covered with horminum salvias, as now...

Totally understand that part with protection! Same here, where ever is a certain regulation implemented because is a historical or similar area, at least none is picking flowers and frighten animals!

Dear @Injica, there are no inscriptions with that ancient city's name...The archaeologists bellive the city was called Orminio...Until the have written proofs, thay can't name it officially...Anyway, its a beautiful place, fortunately there are ancient Greek, Ronam and Byzantine ruins in every hill around Volos city, so these places are protected by law, and we see lots of wild life and flora there!
