Hi! like the photo of you and the caterpillar - so gentle . . . :-) O.K. for the point: This beetle looks pretty much like Cryptocephalus irroratus - a species ranging around the Caribbean: https://www.inaturalist.org/observations?locale=en&place_id=any&preferred_place_id=67952&taxon_id=310356 - it may well be present in Brazil as well.
