Description:

Striking glossy black head with white cheeks ...black longitudinal band down the front. Yellowish belly.There is a white wing bar across the blue-grey wings. The back is a yellowish-green and the rump is greyish blue.

Habitat:

Garden feeder. Urban residential area.

Notes:

I am very fond of this bird. I have seen it in many places in India too. It's like meeting an old friend whenever I see one.
