Description:

Yellow-headed Blackbirds are a large blackbird with yellow head and chest, black glossy body with white patch on back of wings. <br> This one is a juvenile. Sometimes confused as females. The juvenile has a black area around the eye and the lore and a solid black belly. Also the bright yellow instead of orange-yellow color of the female.

Habitat:

This was spotted on island of reeds in a flooded field

Notes:

When the Yellow-headed Blackbirds call they throw their head back and sometimes sideways.
