Habitat:

Tetragonisca angustula is widely distributed in tropical habitats.

Notes:

Is an important pollinator of different plant families; it is a gentle species, and easily adjusts to beekeeping used to collect honey or to pollinate crops (Kleinert & Fonseca 1995, Malagodi-Braga & Kleinert 2004)
