Field Notes

Description:

This was a really pretty Stink Bug about 1.5 cm long with a white lacy pattern on the elytra. In the sunlight, the membranous part of the wings and the line down the center of the back shone like copper. It exactly matched the dried Oak leaf litter and I never would have seen it there.

Habitat:

Mountains between the Isthmus of Tehuantepec and Oaxaca, Roadside Chapel at the hightest point, 1,275 meters. Pine, Oak and other trees I don't know.
