Description:

This bee was hanging around the dewberry plants.

Habitat:

Shoreline of Belton Lake.

Notes:

Closely resembling bumblebees, they lack the fuzziness of the typical bumblebee's abdomen.

Outdoors, most people will encounter males. They do not sting.
