Ah what a pity, it could be a nice spotting, finger crossed for next encounter ;)
Oh yes, that species is very common here too! I spotted another one, yesterday, he was red in the belly, but too shy to stand! :(
I was using a trusted page, maybe there is also this different coloration on its legs but my photos are not the best, http://wildcroatia.net/galerije/beskraljeznjaci/clankonosci/pauk-skakac-salticus-sanguinolentus, they are a bit reddish, will go again there to make some better photos as soon as there is sunny again!
Well I believe, it's about how used is someone to notice small living creatures! I usually use some online catalogs, your species (the one you see so often) might be a different one! Take a look at http://salticidae.org/salticid/diagnost/keys-sal/palaearc-alph-phot.htm
And I suppose tricky to capture, I find this jumping spiders much more impatient than the others! Keen eye ;)! How is that that this is just the 5th spider, oh my gosh, here is like and invasion, they are more common than ants ;) exaggerating, but truly lots of them, or maybe my eye is use to spot them more often in comparing with other species ;)
They're not the same color, and they're hairy too...It seems it's a very common species in my area, it's the fifth spider I spotted since Ferbruary, and I only posted the 2 of them...But they're really tiny!
Very very cute, it is so funny with this legs that aren't the same color ;)
