Description:

The Machilis polypoda belongs to the order of the Thysanura of the subclass Apterygota, insects never had wings at any fase of their evolution. The shaped body is covered with scales with brown spots.
It is extended by two tails and a longer paracerque. Its body is composed of 11 segments of which 10 are visible. It is distinguished by its long, slender antennae and long palps between the antennas. It moves by jumping contractor thorax and abdomen. Size : 9-13 mm

Habitat:

It lives in the woods in the dead leaves
