Description:

Known for being the deepest diving mammal (plunging up to 3 km in order to hunt for prey such as giant squid), the Sperm Whale is the largest of the toothed whales. These particular animals were seen in the Azores between the islands of Faial, Pico and São Jorge. In the last pic you can see a mother diving with its cub, as well as a common stern flying over the diving whale in the first shots.
