Description:

Also known as kingcups due to its large flowers and its latin name meaning goblet. It looks like a large buttercup but favours wet marshy areas as opposed to fields. common throughout the UK.

Habitat:

seen at Potteric Carr nature reserve owned by Yorkshire wildlife trust.

Wow gorgeous colors in that shot! Marsh marigold looks similar to another yellow flower, lesser celandine, and many people tend to get confused between the two.
