Description:

Black and grey adder, with a distinctive pattern on it's back. 40-50 cm in length. Poisonous with a mild toxin, it could be harmful for small children, but in most cases harmless for healthy adults. The european adder is a protected species of Norway's fauna.

Habitat:

Open, grassy area of mixed forest

Notes:

I was so glad for this encounter, haven't seen one in about a year as they are quite rare these days. This spotting made my day, if not my entire week :D
