Field Notes

Description:

Shorebird slightly larger than an American Robin, with plumage as shown.

Habitat:

Probing one of the rockier areas of the shoreline at Prospect Lake, a large artificial reservoir near downtown Colorado Springs. The lake is surrounded by lawns, residential neighborhoods, and some commercial buildings.

Notes:

This one bird stayed around the lake for several days.
