Description:

A small psyllid bug nymph that builds a sugary protective covering. This species is particularly transparent.

Notes:

This one is scarce and solitary. I've seen it before.

Thanks Mayra and Argy. The lerps seem to rarely be a problem but the gall forming psyllids like Schedotrioza sp can be. http://www.projectnoah.org/spottings/11475006
They're not really pests here - they come and go.
And very good for birds, mammals and ants.
I love good spotting days :) Psyllids may be a pest but they're interesting!
Thanks Cindy, I wonder why they bother with a glass house? I've found several different psyllid species today on a single tree including two that I haven't even seen before.
