Field Notes

Description:

Six-legged bug. Has pair of antennae with red tips, and four segments. Wings cross over abdomen, with a dark brown diamond at the end of the abdomen. Front two segments of first two sets of legs are light brown, while the back legs remain dark brown until their final segment. Second segment of back two legs resembles a leaf.

Habitat:

Found on an oak tree at the far edge of a field near Elgin.
