Description:
Wading bird.
Looks similar to a plover but more stocky. This one is in it's breeding plumage. Colors of reddish brown and black on back and wings. Brown cap. White belly and head with black collar and markings across the face. Orange legs and thin pointed bill.
Habitat:
Found along shorelines on the beach or rocky shores.
