Description:

Leg span 25mm. The spider lay in wait (Pic 5) for prey.

Habitat:

On grass inflorescence, Urochloa maxima at James Cook University, Cairns QLD

Yes that what I was thinking also Johan. Either a mite or a red seed (as it looked very smooth and ovate), more likely to be a mite.
On the second photo it looks as if there is a mite on the one hind leg.
