Description:

Short flowering plants typically growing 15-20 in. tall, they are noted for their beautiful spurred petals, and are a common garden plant.

Habitat:

They are found naturally in the higher altitude meadows and woodlands of North America. They are considered very hearty and can survive in most soils.

Notes:

They are highly poisonous and consumption of the root or leaves can be deadly.
