Field Notes

Description:

The back is a darker brown, and the belly is tan. The tail and bill are both long, and there is a white stripe on the face just above the eye that extends to the back of the head.

Habitat:

Found in the eastern US in open woodlands. This guy was calling from atop a building.

Notes:

Found in Caddo Lake NWR.
