Field Notes

Description:

approx. 10 feet

Habitat:

spotted at and near fresh water outflow into the Indian River

Notes:

It is unusual to see alligators on the western shore of the river in this area because there are few places they can crawl out of the water. It's been about two years since we've seen a gator off the dock; and never one of this size.
