Description:

gigantic land snail, 8.3cm diameter see second photo for scale with my camera remote (4.3cm long), possible genus Dyakia.

Habitat:

tropical rainforest

Notes:

I spotted this with Chun Xing Wong on a nighthike in Tawau hills park. It was the first giant land snail I had seen alive in a long time. I more often spot the empty shells.

Possibly genus Dyakia. Note that it is sinistral (unless you have mirror imaged the photos!)
You forgot to do a facebug with this one :D By the way, the diameter of this snail's shell is 83mm.
