Description:

Manzanita are evergreen shrubs that are the classic hallmarks of chaparral, southern California's ecosystem. They often have beautiful mahagony bark and bloom in late winter. The fruits and flowers of most manzanita are edible. Manzanita are also fire- and drought-resistant.
