Description:

The bees and butterflies love this tiny little flower, it blooms around April time and is even used by some species of lepidoptera larvae. It is also known in some places as mouse ear.

Habitat:

seen in the gardens of clifton park.

soil type would change all of them not just some of them, isn't it?

As far as I know Daniel yes, I dont think they are like Hydrangeas that change colour with the soil.There seem to be many different species as with speedwell.

What an amazing array of colours - so this is purely to do with subspecies, rather than soil type?

well obviously not the same but similar ;) in croatia is listed as protected species but the funny thing is that the entire meadows are growing exactly by some parking places ;) stubborn plant!

Thanks Injica, I think you probably get a different subspecies of myosotis as there are several and I think myosotis scorpioides is the only true blue one.
