Description:

The mushroom has two distinct parts. One of globular shape tears to release spores and other fleshy that opens in lacinias, forming a star, when the atmosphere is damp and favourable to the spread of spores. In this hydrated State, the earthstar can move like a crab or be driven with the wind.

Habitat:

Evergreen oak forest. Dehesa de Valdelatas
