Description:

This woodpecker had just taken a bath, and was doing this tree hugging routine, presumably to help dry off. I watched it do this several times all around the tree.

Habitat:

Mixed woods in wildlife habitat yard.

It did look a bit like the Halloween Witch hitting the tree.
