Field Notes

Description:

Slender lizard with patterned skin.

Habitat:

Suntaley Khola is a remote hilly and forested area by the River Murty in the Dooars region of West Bengal, India.This species was quite common in the garden and lived in the crevices of the stone walls and stone steps.

Notes:

There are at least three similar looking species so I am leaving it at Genus level.
1.Sphenomorphus indicus
2.Sphenomorphus maculatus
3.Sphenomorphus incognitus
