Habitat:

Deciduous forest with brook running through it. Gully Brook Park, Lake Metroparks System, Willoughby, Ohio, USA.

I think it's a member of the family Apiaceae (parsley/carrot family). If so, it is also the family of poison hemlock and related plants, so you should definitely not see what it tastes like.
