Lesser Goldfinch

Adult male "Texas form"
Small and stocky with stubby, pointed bill and short tail
Yellow undertail
Black crown and white patches on wings
Some black-backed males can be found in Colorado, but mostly in Texas

Habitat:

Texas Hill Country
