Field Notes

Description:

A light tan body with dark brown saddles going all the way down the body.

Habitat:

Found in oak dominated areas, they rely on their ability to blend in amazingly well with the oak leaves to catch prey. This guy was found while road cruising at night.

Thanks Tom! Yes, we put it in a bucket with another bucket on top, and the next morning took pictures, then released him back where we got him from :) I have more herp spottings coming from my trip last weekend, several being lifers :)
