Field Notes

Description:

Blue tits are easily recognisable by their yellow chest and blue crown. They are only small birds but don't stay still for long, always hopping from one branch to the next looking for insects and spiders. Blue-tits happily take up residence in nest boxes if they find one in a suitable area. This one was darting between the cherry and magnolia tree.

Habitat:

seen in my Mum's garden in Sheffield.
