Field Notes

Description:

Native to United States, and is in the family Libellulidae. The males are more brightly colored than females.This one here is a male, and has yellow spots on the thorax with bright red on the abodomen. Was sitting on this Drumstick tree (Moringa oleifera).Later flew away.

Habitat:

North America.From Canada to United States all the way to Honduras.Is also found in eastern Asia.

Was spotted at around 1:00
