Description:
These are tall trees with a brown trunk. The leaves are on deciduous branchlets that are spirally arranged. The main trunk is surrounded by cypress knees, which are so called because when walking around you commonly hit them with your knees and it really hurts!
Habitat:
Seen all over Caddo Lake, which is the only natural lake in Texas.
