Field Notes

Description:

This bird was gliding in circles fairly high in the sky like a hawk would. The white wing markings have me confused. Would appreciate help with this identification if possible.

Habitat:

Flying over Lake Lewisville

Thanks for trying Liam. There is an immature Red-shouldered in my area. It has visited my yard for a snack. I know the photos were way far away, but the markings caught my imagination. :)
Broad-winged/Red-shouldered is the vibe I'm getting. Definite ID may not be possible. I'm leaning Broad-winged due to wing shape and what appears to be a broad band on the tail, but I can't be certain.
