Field Notes

Description:

A bronze colored frog with barring on the hind legs. The lips are speckled, and the tympanum is the same size as the eye. The dorsolateral fold distinguishes this frog from the similar American Bullfrog.

Habitat:

Found in the eastern US near freshwater. This guy was found in some cattails at night.
