Field Notes

Habitat:

With a wide distribution across the Northern Americas, it frequents warmer, more temperate environments, and can be found mostly in open grasslands, woodlands, meadows, and backyard gardens.

Notes:

Drinking on the riverbank. I saw many of these on my hikes every day, but they would not stay still long enough for a photo. However, on my last day I found them here by the river.
