Field Notes
Description:
Small grey cockatoo with paler edges to feathers and wispy crest. Male - head and crest red. Female - head and crest grey, bars on breast and abdomen reddish. Has a distinctive rasping screech.
Habitat:
Uncommon but ranges in south-eastern Australia. I spotted this one in the Rainbow Jungle in Kalbarri.
Notes:
I have these guys in my area but have not as yet been able to photograph them here. They are a spectacular bird to see.
