Description:
The Ferruginous Pygmy Owl is a small owl that breeds in south-central Arizona in the United States, south through Mexico and Central America, to South America into Bolivia and Argentina.
Notes:
There are 4 species of Pygmy Owl found in Mexico, among them, the Ferruginous is the one commonly found more north, as well as being found in parts of Texas, New Mexico, and Arizona. It's call can be heard at all times of day in central and south america. From a city urban area, to the tropical rainforest. This owl is thriving.
