Field Notes

Description:

Mimetic color which is very close to sandy background, swift swimmer.

Habitat:

Shallow sea perhaps.

Notes:

I found this fish in a tide pool on the beach, perhaps it was left there after the tide fell low. It was quite sneaky and tricky, because of its protective color, its shape fit into the sandy background quite well and was so hard to identify. Finally by persistence I caught it, took the photo, and released it.
