Field Notes

Description:

I have a lot of hawk sightings in this particular location and I'm not sure how many times I am seeing the same bird or birds. I think this one thinks it's hiding from me behind that little twig.
5/17/13 update: There are two other hawks that I usually see in this are and as far as I know this is one of only 2 sightings of this particular bird with a somewhat-distinctive white throat.

Habitat:

Spotted on dead tree next to the road near a mining operation in Kennesaw, GA.

Notes:

Looking at the belly band and the white that goes all the way up its throat to its beak, I think this is the same bird as this spotting http://www.projectnoah.org/spottings/20640346 - the two sightings are also only about 20 feet apart!
