Field Notes

Description:

This is a young male Roe, I only saw him for a few moments in a clearing of the woodlands when I had paused to take a photo of a Robin in front of me, He saw me as I turned slowly to take his photo but then another couple further down the trail caught his attention (photo 2) after that he decide he was off and disappeared back in to the woods. Roe deer are widespread through Europe and can be found in most of Britain.

Habitat:

seen at Potteric Carr woodland reserve owned by Yorkshire wildlife trust.
