Habitat:

Brown Thrashers live in open scrubby areas and often are hidden from view down in the brush. This one was in small trees at the edge of a sand pit where I also found Prairie Warblers.

looks almost like the ground scraper thrush we get here
Thanks for the comments! I was lucky this bird came out into the open for about 10 seconds when I pished. Debbie, it does look similar to a long-billed Mistle Thrush:-)
