Field Notes

Description:

About the size of a bluebird, with subtle markings in summer plumage, as shown. Tail bobs up and down as the bird walks.

Habitat:

Probing the shore of Prospect Lake, a large artificial reservoir, in the company of a pair of Killdeer. Surrounding landscape is lawns, playgrounds, residential neighborhoods, and some commercial buildings.

Notes:

This is apparently an uncommon bird here.
